An Update on Eastern Conference All Star Voting.....Pre Game Notes
I just saw the list of Eastern All Star vote getters and the leaders were sort of shocking. The league seems to love their Pittsburgh Penguins, with Sidney Crosby and Evegni Malkin leading all forwards in votes. Marc Andre Fleury is leading all goaltenders.
Can you imagine watching the game start with Crosby between Malkin and AO. You think that would make the All Star Game exciting?
Here are the top 10 of each catagory:

Erik Cole Carolina 103,566
Chris Drury Buffalo 86,819
Jaromir Jagr NY Rangers 85,637

Ilya Kovalchuk Atlanta 45,453

Goaltenders:
Marc-Andre Fleury Pittsburgh 138,151
Ryan Miller Buffalo 123,224
Martin Brodeur New Jersey 111,389
Andrew Raycroft Toronto 35,255
Cam Ward Carolina 33,430
Kari Lehtonen Atlanta 24,545
Henrik Lundqvist NY Rangers 23,190
Olaf Kolzig Washington 19,369
*****
Sidney Crosby will play this evening on a line with Colby Armstrong and Mark Recchi. Seems as if his groin is feeling strong and he has been bouncing off the walls while not being able to play.
Evgeni Malkin will fall back into his role of second line center. If nothing changes, he will be between Eric Christensen and Max Talbot.
I will update post game.....
